Undergraduate

  • Laura Jones

Some say humanity's greatest invention was sanitation. Others argue Penicillin was our species most important creation. For Dr Laura Jones, however, the Excel Spreadsheet surpasses all other achievements. More organised than the Dictionary and packing more knowledge than a Wikipedia entry on Albert Einstein, Laura keeps Medisense ticking over.

  • Monica Parker

Sharper than a scalpel and a better listener than a stethoscope, Monica Parker is as fed up with traditional learning as she is with being described using medical tool metaphors. Keen to create games to help medical students learn, Monica hopes others will get on 'board' with this 'Operation', to reduce the 'Risk' of medicine making the mind 'Boggle'! Puns.

  • Christo Tsilifis

There are very few things harder than studying medicine: finding the Holy Grail, stopping Leicester City, and pronouncing Christo's surname. Luckily, Christo has a knack for making immunology look easy and can't wait to show the world our 'Cell Mates'!

  • Rebecca Young

If pun names were a medical speciality, Rebecca would be a consultant, professor and Secretary of State all rolled into one. I'm sure we can all agree that if the Secretary of State for puns was in charge of the Junior Doctor Contract, the world would be a much happier place... Rebecca has recovered from the emotional trauma of fourth year medical school exams to produce some fantastic cases to help you with even the toughest exams!

  • Laura Hemmer

As a self-professed Geek, it is rumoured that Laura is the only person who actually knows the answer to the question 'Doctor Who'. Luckily for us, she knows lots of other answers too, and has created all kinds of written skills content for Medisense.

  • Nat Jansen

As an aspiring surgeon and avid Liverpool fan, sometimes we do wonder why we let Nat join the team. However, after demonstrating some highly questionable acting in MoslerCast, we immediately knew he truly was one of us. Having designed our 'Patient Puzzles' games, Nat is keen on students choosing their own way of learning.

  • Hannah Wilkinson

The North has created some of our most inspiring ideas and individuals: The Beatles, The Angel of the North, The Starks of Winterfell and, of course, the Class of '92. Hannah, Medisense's resident Mancunian, is following in these footsteps by creating fantastic undergraduate content, including her 'Rule It Out' game!

  • Jessica Roberts

Good doctors make things happen, and Jess is keen to make exciting things happen as part of our Events team. She's also looking forward to looking forward: by creating a fantastic careers advice section for Medisense.

  • Chris Rothwell

Chris is Medisense's redisent pednat. He is scuh a fan of speling thatt he woud defnitely not mnd a descripption ful of spellling misteeks. Chris has the unenviable task of keeping Medisense right with checking and rechecking our site!

  • Victoria Emerson

They say the best laws are for the people, by the people. Well, we think the best resources for medical students are by medical students. And we can definitely confirm Victoria is a medical student. Well, she did use to be a pharmacology student. But still, close enough. Victoria makes fantastically clever undergraduate resources to help you all become even more fantastically clever. Just don't call her Vicky.

Postgraduate

  • Rob Ker

The real life, medical version of Hermione Granger, Dr Rob Ker is bursting with knowledge and magic to teach us all, whether we want it or not. Every website team needs that guy who will sensibly prevent them from following their dream of writing a musical about the Oxford Handbook and branding it a podcast.

  • Eliot Hurn

Some things happen every day. The sun will rise, life will find a way and someone will ask Eliot where his accent comes from. Medisense's self-proclaimed insect and infection nerd is finally willing to work with people to help develop resources for undergrads and beyond.

Technology

  • Tom Johnson

Some say that geek is the new sexy. Tom Johnson says that it was always thus. With more brains than the average dissection room, Dr Tom is web manager, app designer, code creator extraordinaire. As an anaesthetics trainee, Tom will not only save your life, he'll also upload it to the cloud so that it can never be lost.

Dr Jonny Guckian is a Clinical Teaching Fellow in the North East. As a technology aficionado, he uses more tablets than a ward full of pharmacists. Jonny is the founder of Medisense, and can't wait to explore a world of new technologies to help medical students learn differently.

A GP trainee with an interest in all things sport, Dr David Eastwood runs more than Forrest Gump on Senna. Horrible imagery aside, he is a professional Yorkshireman who will not rest until t'students are taught t'medicine in all t'new ways.
