"The proband (22 male) has 2 sisters, both affected. Their mother is affected, as are her 2 brothers, although none of their children are (3 daughters and a son respectively). There is a maternal aunt who is affected but is unmarried with no children. The maternal grandmother was blind at her death, although she was only in her 40s and not much is know about her family (the maternal grandfather is also dead, and had no symptoms). The proband’s father is an unaffected only child, and neither of his parents had visual problems…"
